We ensure that all transactions and credit cards used on our platform conform to the highest security standards to prevent fraudulent purchases and credit card frauds. However in some cases, this high level of security does red-flag a legitimate purchase because of a the bank has outdated or mismatched information on your credit card and provides erroneous data to your Stripe Payment Gateway.
Stripe does an Address Validation Check where address and postal code / zipcodes are passed directly to the cardholder's bank for verification. If the zip check has failed, it's because the bank is telling us that the zip code does not match the one the bank has on file.
This is also possible if the cardholder has recently moved and the bank has still not updated the correct zip code on file for them. If the cardholder hasn't moved recently, they may wish to call their bank and confirm that the information their bank has on file is correct. The Postal/Zip Code entered must match the Billing Address for the card being used.
